The Magic Quadrant report cites that “Financial planning and analysis solutions support the office of finance’s budgeting, planning, and forecasting efforts. Many also supplement the office’s budgeting and planning process support with modeling, collaboration analytics, and performance-reporting capabilities, to increase its ability to manage performance by linking corporate strategy and execution.” The company believes this finding reflects Anaplan’s top-quartile scores in ease of use, solution flexibility, performance, and overall experience with vendor, and meeting overall needs. The company also believes that its inclusion underscores the platform’s enterprise readiness to serve large, complex cloud customers.
“With Connected Planning, users can bring cross-functional decision-making onto a single cloud platform for enhanced transparency in operational planning,” said Brett Lukowicz, Director of Finance, Echo Global Logistics. “Anaplan enables enterprises to reduce risk and deliver a better customer experience by connecting multiple business units, including sales, marketing, HR, IT, and supply chain plans with finance. ‘What-if’ scenarios help users understand the financial and operational effect of decisions across multiple functions and improves collaboration.”
Infusionsoft is using Connected Planning to better leverage large volumes of data from an increasing number of sources to interconnect their planning models. “As a company growing quickly through innovation and improved execution, having a pulse on our business performance is critical,” said Russell Lester, Vice President of Finance and Analytics, Infusionsoft. “The old, cumbersome Excel-based models created a bottleneck to efficiency that was both frustrating for the team and delayed insights for leadership. Anaplan connects our data, people, and plans to help us be nimbler and proactively serve our stakeholders.”
The company believes that Anaplan’s inclusion in five Gartner Magic Quadrants spanning the sales performance management, corporate performance management, and cloud financial planning and analysis functions is a result of its effort to deliver a scalable and versatile platform designed for Connected Planning. Most recently, Anaplan was recognised as a Leader in the 2018 Magic Quadrant for Sales Performance Management. (2)
“We believe the Anaplan platform approach to cloud-based, Connected Planning represents a fundamental change that improves how decisions are made in a company,” said Frank Calderoni, President and CEO of Anaplan. “We see this Magic Quadrant recognition as validation of our commitment to help our customers drastically reduce the time from planning to decision-making across the company, so they can stay ahead of their competition and exceed their objectives.”
