ZTM Bad Kissingen is one of the leading telemedicine centers in Germany. In the face of large migration and refugee flows, the company aims at solving numerous healthcare problems, including constantly growing number of patients, a strong need for skilled labour and specialized equipment.
ZTM Bad Kissingen required a system that would allow to set up video communication between Rhön Klinikum and refugee first-accommodation center. Additionally, it was essential to provide necessary conditions for preliminary remote examination and issuing medical certification documents.
“TrueConf is easy to use and the quality is very good. In Germany there are high data safety requirements and there are only a few conference solutions left, while TrueConf delivered very good and flexible options”, – Waldemar Pautow says.
As a part of telehealth video conferencing system deployment, refugee center was equipped with mobile video conferencing unit which consists of a flat screen TV and a mini PC with installed TrueConf for Windows application. At the arranged time, volunteers working in refugee accommodation centers help the patient connect with a remote doctor and follow doctor’s commands during the medical check-ups. Remote doctors based in Rhön Klinikum use TrueConf software for running video sessions with their patients.
TeleView for Refugees received German Telemedicine Award by German Telemedicine Association. This prize is awarded for outstanding contribution to the healthcare industry.
TrueConf equips desktops, mobiles and meeting rooms with high quality video conferencing and collaboration capabilities. TrueConf apps and solutions are easy to use and are fully compatible with legacy SIP/H.323 equipment, meaning that you save money on infrastructure while still utilizing state-of-the art technologies like scalable video coding (SVC) and intelligent stream manipulation.
Email fraud is nothing new, but online criminals have become ever more-effective at spoofing their identities to trick employees into sending them money. The Australian Centre for Cyber Security (ACSC) recorded losses of over $20M to business email compromise (BEC) attacks last year alone, up 230 percent over the previous year – and the full amount is certain to be much larger.

No matter how robust your security, or how diligent your employees, network credentials are a free pass for cybercriminals. This is mostly because employees are relied upon for their own password management. And with more than 4.8 billion sets of stolen credentials said to be available online, odds are that at least a few of your employees’ user IDs and passwords are just waiting to be used by unscrupulous outsiders.
