Check Point Launches Australia and New Zealand Technical Assistance Centre and Incident Response Services

The Melbourne Technical Assistance Centre coincides with the opening of three other regional Technical Assistance Centres across the Asia Pacific region

MELBOURNE, 28 JULY 2016 – Check Point® Software Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ: CHKP) today announced it has launched a Technical Assistance Centre (TAC) in Melbourne to enhance in region support for its customers in Australia and New Zealand. Reflecting strong growth and commitment to the region, the TAC is locally staffed and will support Check Point users of gateways and services, complementing the company’s efforts provided by channel partners.

The Melbourne TAC coincides with the opening of three other regional TAC’s across Asia Pacific, servicing support in the region across China, India and Japan. These regional TACs enable Check Point to build on the success of its global support network while providing local level support and in-time zone resolution.

Assuming local technical support responsibility for Check Point Software customers highlights our focus on customer satisfaction and the importance of threat prevention and security,” said Philip Dimitriu, Regional Director of Systems Engineering, Check Point Software.

Further commitment to the A/NZ region and its growth has been backed by the introduction of locally-based Incident Response Services. Senior Security Analyst, Raymond Schippers, has been tasked to lead the Incident Response team for the Asia Pacific region backed by Check Point Global Security Intelligence and Incident Response services.

“Check Point helps to mitigate risk with our Incident Response Service. A call to our dedicated hotline anytime a user experiences a security threat will instantly be responded to by our 24x7 experts to help contain the threat, minimise losses and return to business as usual. Our Incident Response service also help mitigate future risks with local forensic analysis, post-incident reports and security best practice advice,” added Dimitriu.

The new Melbourne TAC is located within Check Point Software’s new office in the Melbourne central business district and in close proximity to many of its installed base of customers.
