METRICS: UK Employers Concerned About Remote Access

In the United Kingdom, 83 per cent of companies have employees working from home on a regular or occasional basis. Of those businesses that permit working from home, 43 per cent say they allow employees to remotely access the company’s network over the Internet. More than half of those companies (52 per cent) were worried about security problems that might occur with allowing employees remote access to networks, but 50 per cent say they never review who has authorised access to their systems.
