Internet Attacks Up 28 Per Cent

Internet attacks on US organisations increased from 160,000 incidents between July and December of 2001 to 180,000 incidents between January and June of 2002, a 28% increase. Approximately 1,280 attacks were against power companies, while 667 attacks were committed against health care organisations and 617 attacks against manufacturers.
