Trend Micro has appointed NewLease as the Australian distributor of its latest security product, Worry-Free Business Security 8.
Worry-Free is a security package that features anti-malware and data protection targeted at SMBs.
It also comes with full integration into the new Windows Server 2012 Essentials dashboard, which NewLease product and programs VP, Boughty Canton, expects to create new opportunities for the company’s Microsoft resellers to engage customers.
“Trend Micro’s Worry-Free Business Security solution represents a powerful tool for managed service providers [MSP] to support customer security needs,” he said.
“NewLease is looking forward to helping MSPs leverage the power of Trend Micro’s Worry-Free Business Security solutions to deliver best of breed security offerings.”
Trend Micro A/NZ small business director, Mark Sinclair, said NewLease's monthly subscription model made the company an attractive choice for Worry-Free Business Security.
“It provides a much better fit for the majority of Australian resellers that offer a managed IT service to their customers,” he said.
Sinclair added SMBs usually lack the resources to meet the growing threat from cyber crime.
“By working with Microsoft to integrate Trend Micro Worry-Free Business Security 8 and Windows Server 2012 Essentials, small businesses can benefit from Cloud computing technology and mobile access by safeguarding their information,” he said.
