Trend Micro has launched the latest version of its server security platform, Deep Security 9.
Not only does the new edition come with performance and ease-of-use enhancements to the agentless architecture, it extends the Deep Security platform to the public and hybrid Cloud.
With Deep Security 9, Trend Micro A/NZ strategic products senior manager, Adam Biviano, said the security technology integrates into the infrastructure in way that allows for “innovative, billable offerings” that in turn can lead to added revenue.
“It is specifically designed to maximise the return on investment in virtualisation and Cloud technologies for large and small enterprises, as well as managed service providers with an Infrastructure-as-a-Service practice,” said
The agentless security platform has been designed to provide server, application and data security across physical, virtual and Cloud environments, specifically for ones that run on VMware's technology.
According to VMware global strategic alliances vice president, Parag Patel, Deep Security 9 comes with integrations for VMware vCenter, vSphere Endpoint and vCloud Director.
“We're very happy to see Trend Micro continuing to work closely with VMware to bring customers the benefits of advanced security for virtual and Cloud environments,” he said.
Deep Security 9 is available now on a “per server” pricing model that takes into account the number of modules licensed used.
