SYDNEY, 11 September 2009 – Imperva, the data security leader, today announced two senior appointments to coincide with its launch in Australia and New Zealand.

Stree Naidu, Vice President of Asia Pacific, will play a crucial role in helping Imperva expand its reach in the ANZ and Asia Pacific markets. Kane Lightowler, Regional Sales Director of Australia and New Zealand, is responsible for business development and channel development initiatives in the ANZ region.

A 100 per cent channels business, Imperva is targeting aggressive growth in ANZ. Already the company is engaging sales engineering staff.

“Imperva is making a strong commitment to growing our international business, and Australia and New Zealand are focused markets in Asia Pacific, which is a key region in this expansion effort,” said Shlomo Kramer, CEO, Imperva. “Naidu’s depth of technical knowledge and a proven track record of effectively executing and growing new territories with great success will help accelerate our footprint in Asia Pacific.”

Stree Naidu says Imperva’s solution portfolio fills a unique niche in the ANZ market as the only data security suite spanning a full spectrum of functionality from web application attack prevention to database security. The full range includes database security, audit and vulnerability assessment, cardholder data protection, and automated compliance auditing. Imperva’s solutions have strong global acceptance, especially in the financial services, energy, insurance and retail sectors, at both enterprise and mid-enterprise levels.

Naidu said: “We are launching in ANZ at an opportune time as both economies are showing strong signs of revival. We aim to expand aggressively, and to this end Imperva will continue to provide strong support for a steadily expanding team of channels partners.”
