METRICS: Message Security Bolsters Secure Content Market

The smallest segment of the secure content management (SCM) software market, message security (which includes anti-spam products), will grow the most in the next five years from $US236 million at the end of 2002 to $US1.1 billion by 2007. Web filtering will finish second in growth among SCM products with a market totalling $US 893 million in the same period. The overall SCM market, which also includes antivirus software, will soar to $US 6.4 billion in 2007, showing a 19 per cent annual growth rate.
