WatchGuard Technologies Appoints ANZ Channel Sales Manager

WatchGuard Technologies has announced the appointment of David Brennan in the newly created position of ANZ Channel Sales Manager based in Sydney.

<p>Sydney – 1 October 2008 – WatchGuard® Technologies, a global leader in extensible network security and connectivity solutions, has announced the appointment of David Brennan in the newly created position of ANZ Channel Sales Manager based in Sydney.</p>
<p>Brennan has more than 10 years of experience in IT sales, customer service and technical support. He will be responsible for driving all aspects of WatchGuard’s Australian and New Zealand channel business, including managing distributors and channels and overseeing campaigns to promote new solutions and offerings to customers.</p>
<p>Brennan has more than 20 years of experience in pre-sales, sales, channel development and strategic account management for complex solutions and services. He was previously CRM Business Manager for Oracle Corporation based in Thailand where he was responsible for developing the business plan and go-to-market strategy for the Siebel range of CRM business solutions. In addition, he created a network of sales and implementation partners for the company’s CRM portfolio.</p>
<p>Prior, Brennan worked at Unisys in Bangkok as Regional Practice Manager for the organisation’s IT Security/Infrastructure Services Practice. During his four years with the organisation, he successfully established the Unisys IT Security and Infrastructure Managed Services Practice in Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines and managed a regional team of 30 technical specialists.</p>
<p>Brennan originally joined Unisys as a Systems Architect where he project managed an infrastructure team and delivered a complex, distributed retail bank branch system at Siam Commercial Bank. He also designed security architecture and policies for several Thai retail bank branch networks.</p>

<p>Brennan has also established and managed his own business distributing industrial machinery to the metallurgical sector. He commenced his career as a Technical Officer with Glaxo Group Research (now Glaxo Smith Kline) in the UK and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional and a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.</p>
