Symantec to Present at Storage Networking World 2006

<p>AUSTRALIA, Sydney – 22 September 2006 – Symantec Corp. today announced that Tim Blumentals, territory manager for Enterprise Messaging Management Group, will present at Storage Networking World (SNW) 2006 on Wednesday 27 September at 3.00pm at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre. The session, entitled “Lower Cost and Negate Risk of Email and IM Systems” will focus on the issues of cost and compliance surrounding business communication and offer insights into how to effectively manage security risks.</p>
<p>Jerry Vochteloo, technologist, Symantec Australia and New Zealand will be participating in the Disk to Disk to Tape (D2D2T) panel on Tuesday 26 September at 2.00pm and will contribute to the storage vendor panel on Tuesday 26 September at 12.00pm.</p>
<p>Symantec will also be participating in the Interoperability Demonstration that will focus on the Storage Management Initiative – Specification (SMI-S) Standard. The Storage Management Forum (SMF), the communications branch of SMI-S, will introduce the Interoperability Demonstration to SNW ANZ and together with Symantec will focus on demonstrating how SMI-S can assist end users on issues that affect their ongoing storage solutions. The Demonstration will feature an actual live hookup between Sydney and the SNIA labs in Colorado, where delegates will witness how competitor equipment can be managed via the SMI-S standard.</p>
