<p>Appoints multiple new hires and expands Melbourne office</p>
<p>Sophos, a global leader in computer security, today announced a wave of multiple new appointments to its Australia and New Zealand subsidiary, delivering on its promise to create and onshore new jobs for the local IT industry. The appointments span Sophos’s sales, channel, support and technical services operations.</p>
<p>Reflecting the growth of the company’s southern region channel and direct sales business, Sophos has also announced the expansion of its Melbourne office to new and larger premises.</p>
<p>The new appointments follow the recent establishment of Sophos’s new, multi-million dollar High Security Computer Security Research and Development facilities and Asia Pacific technical centre of excellence in North Sydney.</p>
<p>Sophos’s senior appointments include Veronica Valve who has joined as Manager, Asia Pacific Support. Under her leadership the Sydney-based support team, a vital cog in Sophos’s global network of 24/7 support operations, has established itself as the company’s top performing support team.</p>
<p>Zoe Nicholson is Sophos’s new Channel Sales Manager and is charged with growing the company’s channel sales business in Australia and New Zealand. In the 12-months to July-2005, Sophos’s Australia and New Zealand channel revenue grew more than 100 per cent. Ms Nicholson was previously with Sophos in the United Kingdom.</p>
