Interwoven Announces that Sun will Resell Interwoven Enterprise Content Management Platform

<p>Sydney, Australia - July 22, 2005 – Interwoven, Inc. (Nasdaq: IWOV), provider of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions for business, today announced an expanded relationship under which Sun Microsystems, Inc. will resell the Interwoven ECM platform for enterprise content and compliance customers. By combining Sun’s Java Enterprise System software, Sun Fire enterprise servers, and Sun StorEdge products with the Interwoven ECM platform, Sun’s Client Solutions Organisation can provide a complete, end-to-end system for governments, enterprises, and service providers.</p>
<p>By bringing together Sun's secure and reliable infrastructure and Interwoven's high performance ECM solutions, these market leading companies will provide enterprises with end-to-end management of content including: enterprise content and records management; secure storage and archiving; identity management; and business process compliance. With a shared technology vision, including the adoption of Java Enterprise Edition and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), the two companies will help empower enterprises to drive positive IT change and deploy content-based applications within their organizations through an integrated, standards and services-based infrastructure, resulting in more rapid return on investment and lower total cost of ownership.</p>
<p>Today, organisations need processes and technologies for managing content throughout the entire information lifecycle efficiently and effectively. Interwoven and Sun Microsystems will help enable customers to align their IT infrastructure—including secure identity management, intranet and extranet portals, robust servers, scalable storage and content management—with business process objectives to monetise digital assets, reduce costs by increasing content efficiencies, and meet business and regulatory compliance requirements.</p>
