RSA Security adds five specialists to its sales, technical and marketing teams

<p>SYDNEY, May 18, 2005 – RSA Security Inc (Nasdaq: RSAS) has added five specialists to its sales, technical sales and marketing teams. The move reflects the 53 per cent year-on-year revenue growth in 2004 in Australia and New Zealand and continued increase in business during Q1 of 2005.</p>
<p>John Ferguson brings a wealth of experience to the sales team in his role as Principal Consultant. He is proficient in web security, PKI, Encryption, smart cards and LDAP directories from the business problem solving, architecture and application design perspectives. John is responsible for scoping, proposing and closing RSA Security projects and supporting the implementation and deployment of solutions for customers.</p>
<p>Prior to joining RSA Security, he was Managing Security Consultant, Architect and Project Manager for SecureNet Pty Limited; Security Consultant with Baltimore Technologies Pty Limited; and Database Administrator and Security Manager for Cable & Wireless Optus Pty Ltd. John holds a Bachelor of Telecommunications and Electronics Engineering Degree from the University of Queensland, a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration with Distinction from the University of Technology, Sydney, is qualified as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional and is currently studying for a Master of Business Administration from the Australian Graduate School of Management. He is fluent in Japanese and has acquired a large number of technical certifications from vendor training programs.</p>
<p>Andrew Latham joins RSA Security as Enterprise Sales Engineer, providing support to the sales team on all RSA Security products and solutions. Andrew will work closely with Territory Managers and Channel Management and assist with presentations to customers and partners, technical demonstrations, proof of concept design and installations.</p>
<p>A Bachelor of Information Technology (Computer Science) graduate from Charles Sturt University, Andrew is also qualified as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional, RSA Certified Instructor, Systems Engineer and Administrator.</p>
<p>Most recently, Andrew was Senior Security/Solutions Architect with Kanbay Pty Limited (formerly Megatec) and a Senior Technical Engineer/Product Development with Banksia Technology. His technical expertise spans a broad base of security products, operating environments, programming languages, relational database management systems, web/application servers and VPNs.</p>
<p>Kristi Page and Danial Benson have been appointed Territory Managers and are charged with developing strong relationships with existing and prospective resellers and motivating them to develop new business opportunities for RSA Security products. They are also responsible for ensuring VAR sales and technical skills conform to set RSA Security standards.</p>
<p>Kristi brings with her three years of experience as Channel Development Manager for Sophos Pty Limited, an anti-spam and anti-virus software organisation. She also has held senior executive positions with UUNET Australia and Tech Pacific Australia Pty Ltd.</p>
<p>Danial was formerly National Check Point Business Development Manager with LAN Systems. Prior to that position, he was Enterprise Account Manager with Software Spectrum, National Software Licensing Practice Manager with Logical and an Account Manager with Professional Service Integrators.</p>
<p>Renee Lee has been appointed Channel Marketing Manager, Australia & New Zealand. Renee is responsible for developing and executing the overall company channel marketing strategy for the region including incentive programs and joint partner activities. She will also provide input to the worldwide channels program.</p>
<p>In her previous position as Account Manager with Black Ink Technology (Media3), RSA Security was one of Renee’s clients giving her a good knowledge of the company’s products and services even before she started her new role. She also has acquired valuable experience working as a Compliance Administrator for Cogent/AMP in London. Marketing and advertising were the focus of Renee’s earlier career when she worked for agencies including Black Ink Advertising & Marketing, Advantage Marketing & Advertising, McCann Erickson and John Singleton Advertising.</p>
