Brother International Australia introduces its next generation colour laser printer with fast print speeds of up to 31 pages per minute in monochrome and up to 8 pages per minute in colour, excellent connectivity and compatibility, built-in networking, and a one-year limited on-site warranty., this network-ready model comes standard with up to 1200x1200 dpi print resolution, BR-Script3TM emulation, and comprehensive network management tools.</p>
<p>COMPREHENSIVE STANDARD FEATURES
Among the HL-2700CN’s most important features is its ability to print high-resolution text and graphics in rich vibrant colours at fast speeds of up to 31 pages per minute in monochrome and up to 8 pages per minute in colour. Additionally, the product utilises high-yield replacement toner cartridges (10,000 pages for black, 6,600 pages for colour**) that deliver a low cost per page. The printer also comes with 64MB of standard memory (upgradeable to 576MB+), a 250-sheet* paper tray and built in Parallel, USB 2.0 and 10/100BaseTX Ethernet interfaces standard†, up to 25,000 pages** transfer roller & waste toner pack, up to1200x1200 dpi @ 12ppm, up to 600x600 dpi at 24ppm, print quality, 55 dB low noise printing and 36.5 dB at Standby.</p>
<p>The HL-2700CN also has N-Up, poster, watermark, Duplex, Booklet, Job Reprint and Secure print modes. In addition, the HL-2700CN offers toner save and power save modes.
A two line, LCD display with an enhanced control panel makes setting up and configuring the printer a breeze. Moreover, the LCD display is incorporated into an intuitive user control panel with convenient features such as one-button job cancel and a scrolling menu.
The HL-2700CN comes with the standard 10/100BaseTX network card and offers robust networking tools including: BR-Admin Professional Network Management, Brother Web-based Management, Web BR-Admin Network Management and Driver Deployment Wizard to aid in the easy implementation of driver installation.</p>
<p>COMPATIBILITY AND CONNECTIVITY
Whether the user environment is Windows® or Mac®-based, the HL-2700CN is compatible and features a variety of emulations including PCL®6, BR-Script3 (PostScript®3TM), IBM® Proprinter, Epson® FX, and HP-GL.
From everyday office color printing to presentations, the HL-2700CN delivers quick, crisp text and vibrant color output – regardless of the application. In addition, given its print speeds, it is also fast enough to serve as a “dual mode” printer for either color or monochrome printing, regardless of where it is located.</p>
<p>NETWORK-READY FOR WORKGROUP USE
The HL-2700CN comes standard with a built-in 10/100 BaseT Ethernet print server and a range of network management tools that make it easy for connected workgroups to set-up and begin using the printer immediately. This includes an embedded Web-server as well as two other powerful and flexible network management tools, BR-Admin Professional and Web-BRAdmin2. The HL-2700CN also supports IPP (Internet Printing Protocol), as well as Apple’s Simple Network Configuration networking technology.</p>
The HL-2700CN has a number of options to increase productivity and maximize user value.
These include an optional duplex unit, as well as the ability to increase paper input capacity up to a total of 780 sheets* by adding a 530-sheet* lower paper tray. Another option is the CompactFlash™ slot that can accept an optional CompactFlash™ card for storing print jobs for fast reprinting, as well as for form or font storage.</p>
<p>The HL-2700CN has a recommended retail price of $1,399 (Inc GST).</p>
