Westan Offers Customers Greater Performance, Choice and Value with ADTX Disk Arrays.
- 20 October, 2004 13:02

Westan today announced a new partnership with ADTX to distribute their range of disk array products in the Aus/NZ region. ADTX has been a manufacturer of high performance, reliable and cost effective disk storage solutions for 11 years and is a pioneer in the ATA disk array market. Westan has made a significant push into the storage solutions arena focusing on the SMB & SME markets. The news of Westan’s appointment comes hot on the heels of several product enhancements announced by ADTX that provides levels of data security previously unavailable to these markets.

“In conjunction with other storage solution initiatives we have recently undertaken, this appointment by ADTX leaves no doubt that Westan is a serious player in the markets we address” said Ken Anderson, Director of the Storage & Server Division at Westan. “Our goal is and has always been to show our customers how to manage and protect their data using cost effective solutions. ADTX is a logical extension of the on-going development of our plans and we are extremely happy that ADTX agreed to allow us to represent them in the region. Opportunities to work with companies like ADTX do not come along every day” Anderson said. “With advanced features like internal instant copy, external instant copy and remote mirroring built into the array ADTX are well ahead of the game technically” he added.

“Westan brings to the table substantial market presence in areas that ADTX has not previously been focused in (on) the Australian and New Zealand region” said Naresh Chadha, ADTX president of U.S. and European Operations. “We view this partnership as very important to our strategy of providing our customers with leading edge solutions that are backed up by reputable organizations like Westan and other companies we work with globally. Westan has been around for a long time and we have no doubt that we have chosen a solid partner with whom we can jointly develop the business in the region” he added.
