Close #5 Lifeblood: This laptop theft was a real bloodletting. In February 2008, Lifeblood, the regional US blood bank serving Memphis, reported two laptops missing and presumed stolen. The laptops contained names, addresses, birth dates, social security numbers, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses and drivers' license numbers for 321,000 donors. Even blood type and cholesterol levels were included in the database. A US$20,000 reward was available for any information leading up to an arrest. Close
