Trend Micro partners with Hitachi Data Systems in Hong Kong

Hitachi Data Systems' local partners in Hong Kong are now able to take advantage of the highly optimised security solutions from Trend Micro, the cloud security provider announced today.

The partnership ensures a secured infrastructure and protects data in the cloud for their customers, the company said in a statement.

This partnership empowers partners in Hong Kong to offer a cloud-based IT service offering and the full-fledged solution includes Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), File & Content Service, and Software as a Service (SaaS).

Following this agreement, users subscribing to the cloud services through authorised partners of Hitachi Data Systems in Hong Kong have an option to be safeguarded by Trend Micro's Deep Security and SecureCloud services, said the company.

"Hitachi Data Systems enables its partners in Hong Kong to offer cloud services actively," said Bob Hung, general manager of Hong Kong and Taiwan, Trend Micro. "As more and more users are capitalising on cloud benefits by migrating to cloud services they require a high-level of safety for their infrastructure and data. Our cloud security solutions allow the partners to confidently deliver protection for their customers' critical servers, applications and sensitive data."

The Trend Micro cloud security solutions will help automate the protection and encryption of sensitive data stored in the cloud and centralise the management across hybrid cloud environments.

"We are thrilled to partner with Trend Micro for its fully protected cloud solutions, enabling our partners in Hong Kong to deliver a level of cloud services that would not be attainable without this synergy," said Andrew Sampson, general manager of Hong Kong and Macau, Hitachi Data Systems. "It has always been our top priority to ensure a best-in-class, secure cloud service and infrastructure of end-users. This solution helps our partners in Hong Kong deliver a well trusted cloud service to customers."

The agreement covers Trend Micro Deep Security and Trend Micro SecureCloud solutions.
