<p>Sydney, Australia – 3 December 2009 – Verizon Business has been recognised for its leadership in the Australian managed security services market by Frost &amp; Sullivan. The company has received the 2009 Australia Frost &amp; Sullivan Managed Security Services Vendor of the Year Award at the consulting firm’s annual Best Practice Awards banquet held recently.</p>
<p>The award acknowledges Verizon Business’ superior planning and execution of product launches, strategic alliances, distribution strategies and technological innovations, as well as the company’s overall leadership, strategy and service.</p>
<p>Award participants are judged according to their market performance in 2008 based on criteria that include major customer acquisitions, year-on-year growth rate, leadership in product/service introduction and innovation, solutions capability, and market penetration across various technologies.</p>
<p>John Karabin, regional vice president for Verizon Business global services, Asia Pacific, said: “Verizon Business has aligned its security offerings to meet the needs of today’s globally extended enterprise.

<p>The Frost &amp; Sullivan Australia Best Practices Awards are presented annually to recognise outstanding performance by companies in the Australian information and communications technology (ICT) industry.
