New F-Secure solution offers faster, lighter and safer IT security for businesses

Faster and safer protection with less resource use – F-Secure Client Security 9 offers centrally managed security that makes sense for business.

F-Secure Client Security 9 provides uncompromised protection without slowing down the computer. Corporate desktops and laptops are protected against all online threats significantly faster and with less system impact than ever. This means that businesses can protect their confidential data, prevent the spread of malware in their networks, and block hostile intrusion attempts more effectively, also on the Windows 7 operating system.

According to performance tests by the independent testing organisation*, the new version of Client Security has 50% less system impact, is 70% lighter in memory usage, and completes a system scan 50% faster than the previous version. The attractively redesigned user interface and central management through F-Secure Policy Manager make security administration simple. Security problems are handled automatically without disturbing or confusing the end user.

Indi Siriniwasa, Regional Director Australia and New Zealand, from F-Secure says, “We have listened to business IT managers. They want the best protection possible without slowing down computers or having employees distracted by security issues. I’m proud to say F-Secure Client Security 9 delivers cutting-edge security with major performance gains and sophisticated automation, so companies can really focus on their business priorities.”

Eric Langevin, Technical Manager from Overlap Réseaux, an F-Secure partner in France, confirms the improvements: “I installed Client Security 9 on my laptop and I have to admit F-Secure is delivering on its promises: memory consumption is halved on the main processes and Browsing Protection is a nice addition, simple and intuitive. Performance has been improved too."

F-Secure Client Security 9 provides enhanced malware detection by utilising the latest in-the-cloud reputation services, fast behaviour monitoring and rootkit scanning technologies. The updatable core security technology has been redesigned to provide instant protection for the end-user and the administrator. This means high detection rates against malware, spyware, and phishing, as well as enhanced performance and protection against future threats.

The new Browsing Protection feature with its unique Exploit Shield component shows which websites are safe to enter and automatically blocks harmful sites, while protecting against browser and plug-in exploits, and drive-by downloads. The Exploit Shield also protects against exploits of security holes for which there is no patch yet.

- Windows 7 support.

- Performance gains include less system impact, less memory use, faster system scans, and enhanced malware detection.

- New Browsing Protection with Exploit Shield blocks access to harmful websites and web exploits.
