• 17 November, 2009 16:15

Sydney, November 17. – Imperva®, the data security leader, today announced the appointment of Seccom Global, one of Asia Pacific’s fastest growing information security providers (MSSPs), in a partnership covering Australia, New Zealand and more than a dozen other nations worldwide.

Seccom will offer Imperva’s SecureSphere data security suite and database firewall solutions to a broad spectrum of markets, ranging from Fiji through India to China, as well as the UK, USA and Canada. Full APAC market coverage also includes the Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Korea, Japan and Indonesia,

Imperva’s Vice President Asia Pacific, Stree Naidu, said: “Almost 5,000 organisations worldwide are relying on Imperva to prevent sensitive data theft, protect against data breaches, secure applications, and ensure data confidentiality. Now Seccom customers can protect their data and applications from hackers who target large and small organisations.”

Earlier this month, Seccom Global received a ‘Strong Positive’ rating in Gartner’s MarketScope for Managed Security Services in Asia/Pacific report. The company has sustained double digit growth for the past five years, with a 25 per cent growth rate last year despite the worst global downturn in seven decades.

In addition to network-based monitoring and blocking of unauthorised activity by trusted insiders, Imperva’s SecureSphere is able to terminate local user activity and quarantine user accounts in the event of a security policy violation. This extends Imperva's unmatched database protection to a full 360 degrees.

Seccom Global’s Chief Information Officer, Gavin Matthews, sees this 360-degree database protection as complementing his company’s expanding cloud security portfolio. Matthews explained: “The partnership with Imperva represents an outstanding opportunity to help customers quickly and cost effectively secure their data. Seccom operates solely in the Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) space and has invested heavily in up-to-date and comprehensive systems to enable delivery of management and support services. ”
