Seccom Global partners with Tier-3, leader in threat management solutions

 • 16 October, 2009 12:30

Sydney, October 16. Seccom Global, one of Australia’s fastest growing information security providers (MSSPs), announced today a partnership agreement with Tier-3, an innovative Australian software company whose Huntsman solution is the most powerful threat management systems available.

Seccom will offer Huntsman-based solutions as either a fully managed or in situ installation under the SecureINTEL product line across Asia Pacific. SecureINTEL protects the enterprise by monitoring business applications, operating systems and the network in real-time to provide an intelligent threat management system.

Gavin Matthews, Seccom’s CIO, said: “Tier-3’s solution is impressive. You can't manage what you can't see - Huntsman can, as it is able to manage both known and unknown threats, making it possibly the only complete IT threat management system. Our clients Asia Pacific-wide will benefit from this technology. We are excited about the opportunities that a partnership with Tier-3 presents.”

Tier-3’s Director of Sales and Marketing, Michael Livingstone, said: “We are impressed by Seccom’s steady expansion throughout Asia Pacific, and their reputation for technical expertise and support. Tier-3 sees genuine synergies in the new relationship.

“Our platform will enable Seccom to deliver high level managed security monitoring and response capabilities, just as we are doing for our clients in financial services, federal, government critical infrastructure and telecommunications.”

He said the partnership would be positioned to address challenges for large organisations constrained by being under-resourced for pro active security, as well as mid-market organisations seeking improved security but unable to invest in sufficient resources.

Tier-3’s Huntsman solution leverages a modular and extensible architecture that supports any security, network device, operating system or application managing risks that threaten IT asset confidentiality, integrity and availability.

About Tier-3
Tier-3 is a market leader in Enterprise Risk Management, offering solution sets based on innovative and patented technologies. For over ten years, Tier-3 has been protecting organisations for whom security is business-critical, including defence, intelligence, financial services and critical infrastructure organisations.
