Kaseya Launches Local User Groups in Australia

User community to nurture managed services expertise in Australia.
 • 18 August, 2009 16:30

Kaseya, the leading global provider of information technology (IT) automation software for IT solution providers and corporate IT organisations, announced today the launch of local user groups in Australia. The user groups will nurture collaboration between MSPs (Managed Services Partners) and grow the level of expertise in the local managed services community.

The user groups will be formed at Think Tank 09, where 75 MSPs from across Australia will share learnings with their peers and discuss managed services trends and product roadmaps with Kaseya’s local team. Kaseya will also announce its MSP Partner of the Year award at the event.

Think Tank 09 was fully booked within a day. According to Tim Dickinson, Regional Director for Kaseya in Australia and New Zealand, the level of interest in Kaseya’s first local user group conference reaffirms the company’s plan to create user groups across Australia.

Dickinson said: “We’ve been continuously investing in education and training for our MSP partners in Australia, and the formation of user groups is the next step of supporting our local customer community.”

“We will establish nation-wide user groups at Think Tank 09, to spread knowledge of managed services across Australia. The newly formed user groups will help our MSP partners to learn from each other, and also provide feedback to our product development and support services.”

Managed services have been gaining ground in Australia, as IT service providers move away from a break / fix business model, to monthly service agreements with recurring revenue.

Analyst firm IDC expects the IT services market in APEJ to grow to US$49.4 billion in 2009, driven primarily by continued demand for managed services and outsourcing, as cost management becomes a key focus for organisations in the region.

Think Tank 09 will be held at the Holiday Inn in Mascot - Sydney, on Tuesday, August 25. To ensure the best possible level of interaction between delegates and speakers, places at the user group have been limited to 75.
