Sydney, Australia - 3 December 2008 - AOC has
announced the new Toriba 18.5” 831S+ with a 16:9 aspect ratio LCD panel
– fast becoming a new trend in the monitor market. The native 16:9 aspect
ratio means that typical HD media can be viewed full screen without distortion
or annoying black bars. 4:3 sources can be freely adjusted between 4:3 and 16:9
views.
The monitor has a streamlined style that should appeal to all users, leading screen
performance and a highly competitive price. It boasts a dynamic contrast ratio
of 10,000:1 along with a 5ms response time. The 831S+ will make an excellent budget
monitor for home and classroom use, especially where full screen video viewing
is common.
To meet today’s demand for more environmentally friendly products, the AOC
Toriba series has received the EPEAT (Electronic Product Environmental Assessment
Tool) Silver Award and ENERGY STAR certificate.
